Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago with actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearances were on TV as Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in the ABC sitcom Roseanne. Perry was forbidden to act with her parents till she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the stress it would cause. Perry was shy during high school and was not a performer. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University moved in New York in search of television roles. Her small part was in television shows, such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness led her to California to pursue theater opportunities. The show she performed in was Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. The show featured her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017 she had a recurring role on The ABC political thriller Scandal featuring her father. In the same year, she portrayed a younger character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) playing her mother in a youthful version. Despite having a family connection to this character, she received the role via an audition.
