Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for several years. When she was a kid Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by a lot of Americans. When she went to a school competition and received the highest praise for her singing, in ninth grade the young girl started to gain confidence. It not only boosted her self-confidence but also changed her goals for the future. In the year 22 she was able to graduate from at the Julliard School of New York. At the age of 23, she started her journey on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, aged 23, her movie debut was You've received mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she played the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. In 2007, she was cast on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended play. In addition, she's a campaigner and has been active in the field of LGBT rights.
